Your mandate will consist in...

Your mandate will consist of managing the Quality and Compliance team and reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence. You will be responsible for continuously measuring, evaluating, and improving the quality of services provided by AGA, while ensuring that compliance measures are effectively implemented and maintained across the organization. Your main tasks will include:

  • Directly manage a team of 5 to 8 people, including auditors, quality managers, and compliance officers;
  • Ensure the proper execution of the three main quality pillars for auditors and quality managers: audits, non-conformities, and ISO 9001:2015, by:
    • Meeting established thresholds and deadlines;
    • Implementing tools to measure service performance;
    • Continuously improving the Quality department;
    • Managing the annual ISO 9001:2015 audit;
  • Support the compliance officer in ensuring that compliance measures are implemented by department managers;
  • Develop the skills and autonomy of team members;
  • Engage internal teams in quality and compliance issues during the identification and implementation of process improvements;
  • Collaborate with department heads and coordinators to define key criteria in the work processes of various roles across the organization, in order to develop quality audit tools for different transactions or services delivered;
  • Define audit thresholds for each department to ensure adequate coverage of service delivery;
  • In collaboration with Business Intelligence, analyze audit and non-conformity data to identify opportunities for improvement;
  • In collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, analyze operational processes and customer journeys to identify improvement opportunities and compliance requirements;
  • In collaboration with the PMO, make recommendations on the prioritization of improvement or compliance projects;
  • Develop quality management tactics aligned with the operational excellence strategy;
  • Share the results of the quality strategy with senior management through management review meetings;
  • Perform any other task explicitly requested by the manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in group insurance and quality management;
  • Minimum of 3 years of team management experience;
  • Strong command of both English and French, spoken and written (Proficiency in English is required, as administrative transactions must be processed in both languages. A detailed analysis and thorough understanding of contractual administrative information related to insurance enrollments and changes—free of errors—are also essential);
  • A strong focus on customer experience;
  • Ability to identify innovative solutions to sometimes complex challenges;
  • Capacity to drive engagement and promote change within the quality team and supported departments;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally;
  • ISO 9001:2015 certification, an asset;
  • Knowledge of standard regulations affecting a TPA/TPP, an asset;
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or certification in an equivalent quality analysis framework, an asset;
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint, an asset.
