Your mandate will consist in playing a key role in both day-to-day technology support and the evolution of our Jira environment to effectively support our teams and operations. Your main tasks will include:

IT Support - Levels 1 & 2

You will be the main IT point of contact for our Quebec City office and will actively contribute to providing employees with a seamless technology experience.

  • Represent the IT team at the Quebec City office and provide on-site support to employees at least two (2) days per week;

  • Provide technical support to users, on-site or remotely, for workstations, peripherals, mobile phones, printers, and other IT equipment;

  • Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems, software, and network access, in collaboration with the Montreal IT team;

  • Prepare equipment, accounts, and access for employee arrivals, departures, or role changes;

  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 tools;

  • Support the telephone system, including the call center;

  • Participate in the installation and setup of computer rooms and servers, as needed;

  • Classify and escalate tickets;

  • Respond to incidents, alerts, and service requests, including occasionally outside regular business hours;

  • Document procedures, configurations, and technical solutions;

  • Participate in IT projects and planned maintenance activities in collaboration with external consultants;

  • Perform any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.

Jira – Configuration and Process Optimization 
  • Understand AGA Benefit Solutions business processes in order to translate needs into suitable Jira solutions;

  • Design, configure, and maintain workflows, automations, fields, screens, and permissions in Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Jira Work Management;

  • Correct issues related to Jira configurations and make the required adjustments according to internal client needs;

  • Collaborate with teams across various departments to define and configure dashboards, reports, and forms aligned with their processes;

  • Act as the internal resource person for Jira best practices;

  • Monitor Jira functionalities and propose improvements based on new features and evolving organizational needs;

  • Maintain clear documentation of Jira configurations and processes. 

Required qualifications:

  • University degree in software engineering, computer science, IT, or relevant experience;
  • Minium of 5 years of experience on the Jira cloud platform (Software, Work Management, Service Management);
  • Very good knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware) and Windows/Linux servers;
  • Excellent knowledge of Active Directory and related services (GPO, DNS, DHCP, etc.);
  • Very good knowledge of networking (firewalls, switches, routers, WiFi), Microsoft 365 products, and Atlassian products;
  • Understanding of Jira components – Issue Types, Workflows, Screens, Fields, Schemes, Permissions, Notifications, Forms, Request Types, etc.;
  • Knowledge of JQL and Smart Values;
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, JSON, REST/SOAP is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall approaches is an asset;
  • Atlassian certification is an asset;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong autonomy (ability to work independently and prioritize work);
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365;
  • Proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken (Fluency in French and English is essential since the position holder will collaborate with and provide technical support to employees, partners, and suppliers located in different regions across Canada, particularly in Québec and Ontario, in a bilingual work environment.)
