Your mandate will consist in...

Your mandate will be to actively contribute to talent acquisition and the employee experience. As an ambassador for AGA, you will promote the employer brand both externally and internally. Read on to discover the skills and qualifications you need to thrive at AGA!

Your main responsibilities will include:

Talent Attraction

  • Develop and regularly update innovative talent acquisition strategies;
  • Manage multiple full-cycle recruitment processes simultaneously, including: gathering hiring needs with managers, drafting and updating job descriptions, posting positions internally and externally, candidate pre-screening, telephone interviews, coordinating and participating in virtual and in-person interviews, selection tests, credit and background checks, follow-ups with managers and candidates, preparing job offers, negotiations, etc.;
  • Build and regularly maintain a candidate network through headhunting and proactive sourcing, particularly to fill key positions (management, professional and service roles); 
  • Establish relationships with universities and CEGEPs to regularly recruit interns;
  • Organize and participate in networking and promotional events (job fairs, open houses, charitable events);
  • Encourage employees to apply for open positions or refer contacts;
  • When required, coordinate recruitment through service providers and headhunters. 

Employee Retention

  • Develop and regularly update innovative employee experience strategies;
  • Ensure a high-quality onboarding and employee journey, including participating in the onboarding and integration of new employees hired through recruitment and acquisitions (presence at the head office is required on Mondays when onboarding sessions are scheduled);
  • Manage and maintain the employee engagement survey platform, conduct regular employee surveys and recommend actions to be taken;
  • Develop and regularly update an employee recognition program;
  • Conduct voluntary exit interviews and recommend solutions;
  • Actively participate in company committees and social events;
  • Promote the company's mission and values both internally and externally;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to the employee experience. 

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Human Resources;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, recruitment or marketing;
  • Knowledge of the Canadian employment market;
  • Knowledge of recruitment tools and social media platforms (LinkedIn Premium, Indeed Intellisource and ADP Recruitment are considered assets);
  • Knowledge of employee engagement survey tools (Amélio is considered an asset);
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent people skills;
  • Proactive and adaptable; 
  • Excellent written and spoken French and English (proficiency in both French and English is essential to ensure the analysis and understanding of applications, communications and contractual documents from internal and external sources, which are often written in either language. It is also essential to provide telephone and email support to English-speaking candidates and suppliers across Canada, as well as to communicate effectively with colleagues located outside the province);
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint and Teams are considered assets).
