Your mandate will consist in:

Your mandate will be to be primarily responsible for supporting the Assistant Manager, Account Managers and Advisors by providing your technical expertise on major accounts.. Below are the essential skills and qualifications needed to excel and thrive within the AGA team!

Your main tasks will include:

  • Ensure the preparation of specifications and appendices for calls for tenders, forward them and follow up with insurers within the stipulated deadlines;
  • Analyze tenders received during calls for tenders, make preliminary projections of results and prepare final report to customer;
  • Collaborate with the analyst on the implementation of major accounts;
  • Analyze and validate renewal proposals within stipulated deadlines, prepare negotiation strategy for discussion with advisor, negotiate renewal with insurer and prepare final report to customer;
  • Analyze clients' and prospects' coverage and financial conditions, and take part in analyses and recommendations to be presented to clients regarding design, plan modifications, financial arrangements, flexible plans, etc.;
  • Ensure the preparation of self-insured plan balance statements and projections;
  • Validate the work produced by the analysts to ensure quality and relevance, and support them in their learning as required;
  • Support the development of tools, methods and reports to help AGA improve the quality of its services;
  • Accompany advisors and account managers to customer sites when required;
  • Assume any other related responsibilities or those assigned by your superior.

Qualifications required:

  • University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, finance or another related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in group insurance 
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Bilingualism (English and French), both spoken and written (Proficiency in both English and French is essential to analyze and understand contractual documents, brochures, and communications originating from internal and external sources, often written in either language. It is also required to provide telephone and email support to French speaking clients across Canada and to interact effectively with colleagues located outside the province)
  • Have 2 years' experience as an underwriting analyst (an asset)
