Your mandate is to analyze and structure complex business needs within prioritized corporate projects, identifying risks, impacts, and opportunities while delivering recommendations aligned with organizational objectives. You will collaborate with stakeholders to produce clear deliverables, act as a trusted advisor, and contribute to improving practices, documentation, and team development through leadership, autonomy, and sound judgment. Analyze, map, and provide recommendations on AGA’s business processes;
Lead initiatives involving cross-functional needs;
Recommend process and business practice improvements aligned with operational needs and priorities;
Model stakeholder needs to support informed decision-making.
Contribute, as needed, to the drafting of functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria;
Define and document target requirements and processes;
Define traceability between business needs, requirements, and acceptance testing (quality, consistency, clarity, high-level functional testing).
Advise teams and partners on process optimization and business analysis best practices;
Ensure alignment between business, IT, and BI to connect needs with solutions;
Engage with diverse stakeholders in sometimes sensitive contexts;
Facilitate workshops and support decision-making;
Mentor and support the development of less experienced analysts.
Contribute to transformation initiatives and change management efforts;
Promote business analysis best practices;
*Perform any other tasks related to this role and of a similar nature as required.
University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Operations Management, Business Analysis, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered;
Minimum of 8 to 9 years of experience in business analysis within complex environments;
Significant experience in process optimization, organizational transformation, and project delivery;
Strong experience in managing diverse stakeholders and facilitating workshops (requirements gathering, validation, and process improvement);
Excellent skills in documenting and structuring information.
Proficiency in analysis and documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Miro);
Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe);
Proficiency in analysis techniques (BPMN, process modeling, impact analysis);
Ability to produce clear, structured, and stakeholder appropriate analysis deliverables;
Knowledge of change management practices and cross functional collaboration;
Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken, enabling effective collaboration across Canada and the production of bilingual documentation.
A plus for this role is a certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, operational excellence).
