Your mandate will consist in:

Your mandate will consist in playing a key role in the design of dashboards, the analysis of trends, and the production of data-driven forecasts. You will contribute to the definition, implementation, and continuous evolution of performance indicators, metrics, dashboards, and data models required for the deployment and optimization of AGA’s business intelligence.

In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and ensuring the application of best practices in data management and secure data usage.  Building strong relationships—both with multidisciplinary team members and with internal clients in the field—will remain essential to succeeding in this role. Your main tasks will include:

• Collect, transform, clean, and organize data from various internal sources, ensuring their quality and consistency;

• Design, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as Power BI or similar solutions;

• Support teams through change management during the implementation of new solutions, including through training and documentation;

• Propose and conduct descriptive and exploratory analyses to identify trends, relevant insights, anomalies, or opportunities;

• Collaborate with all AGA business teams (actuarial, finance, operations, marketing, etc.) to understand their needs, analyze their workflows, propose solutions, and identify data driven improvement opportunities.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management and reporting processes;

• Document methodologies, requirements, performance indicators, metrics, dashboards, data models, data sources, and processes to ensure traceability and reliability of analyses;

• Determine key performance indicators (KPIs), develop the necessary measures to evaluate performance, analyze results over time, and build forecasting models when required;

• Perform ad hoc analyses or extract data lists as needed;

• Document and update all tasks and projects daily and systematically in JIRA to ensure clear, real time tracking of progress;

• Create and maintain Power Automate flows;

• Perform any other related duties of a similar nature directly connected to this position or as requested by the supervisor.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, business Intelligence, IT / Computer Science / Management Information Systems, Information Management or Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Computer Engineering / IT Engineering) and/or Data Engineering and Analytics (Masters Degree an asset).
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in data analysis, forecasting, and dashboard development;
• Experience in group insurance (an asset);
• Excellent command of English and French, both spoken and written, with an ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex analyses;
• In-depth knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools and statistics, with a proven ability to generate consistent forecast models;
• Command of Excel (intermediate or advanced level) and Office suite;
• Ability to communicate complex calculations or results in simple terms;
• Mathematical skills required to collect, measure, organize and analyze data;
• Inquisitiveness;
• Ability to work in cooperation with different counterparts (teamwork);
• Experience with SQL language, an asset;
• Experience in group insurance, an asset;
• Proficiency in Power BI;
• Strong command of Excel, the Office suite, and SQL;
• Mathematical and/or academic skills required to collect, measure, organize, and analyze data and perform statistical forecasting;
• Ability to transform raw data into useful and understandable information;
• Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written, to collaborate effectively with teams across Canada;
• Knowledge of Power Automate (an asset);
• Knowledge of Power BI Report Builder (an asset);
• Familiarity with an analytical programming language (Python or R) (an asset);
• Basic knowledge of JIRA and Confluence (an asset);
• Strong analytical mindset and a high level of rigor;
• Strong analytical curiosity and critical thinking skills to propose innovative analytical approaches and impactful visualizations;
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively;
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with non technical stakeholders (including simplifying calculations or results);
• Discretion and respect for data confidentiality.
