Your mandate will consist in...

Your mandate will be to conduct the various analyses for the less complex major accounts, under the supervision of the Assistant Manager, Actuarial. Read on to learn about the skills and qualifications required to thrive at AGA!

Your main tasks will include:

  • Prepare the specifications and appendices for requests for proposals (RFPs), send them to insurers, and follow up within the stipulated deadlines;
  • Analyze the submissions received during RFPs, perform preliminary projections of results, and prepare the final report for the client;
  • Collaborate with the analyst during the implementation of major accounts for plan setup;
  • Analyze and validate renewal proposals within the stipulated deadlines, prepare negotiation strategies for discussion with the advisor, negotiate the renewal with the insurer, and prepare the final report for the client;
  • Analyze the coverage and financial conditions of clients and prospects, and participate in analyses and recommendations regarding plan design, modifications, financial arrangements, flexible plans, etc.;
  • Prepare balance sheets for self-insured plans and projections;
  • Validate the work produced by analysts to ensure quality and relevance, and support them in their learning when needed (peer review);
  • Support the development of tools, methods, and reports to help AGA improve service quality;
  • Extract various statistics on usage history and current coverage, and prepare statistical tables required in various reports;
  • Accompany advisors and account directors to client meetings when required;
  • Perform any other related duties or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in group insurance, preferably in large group pricing (125 lives or more);
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint (graphic presentations);
  • Excellent command of written and spoken French;
  • Very good command of written and spoken English, as we have anglophone clients and clients outside Quebec. Files are distributed among team members regardless of language;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Very good knowledge of social laws;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to demonstrate judgment, teamwork, integrity, and honesty;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information;
  •  Professionalism, resourcefulness, autonomy.
