Your mandate will consist in...

Your mandate will be to perform a variety of analyses for major accounts under the supervision of the Deputy Director, Actuarial Services. Read on to learn about the skills and qualifications required to thrive at AGA!

Your main tasks will include:

  • Analyze and validate renewals within stipulated deadlines, and contribute to the preparation of client reports;
  • Prepare specifications and appendices for requests for proposals (RFPs);
  • Analyze bids received in response to RFPs, prepare preliminary projections of results, and assist in the preparation of client reports;
  • Extract statistics on usage history and current coverage, and prepare the required statistical tables for various reports;
  • Prepare balance statements and projections for self-insured plans;
  • Participate in the analysis of clients’ and prospects’ financial protections and conditions, and produce the tables and analyses required for various assessments (plan design/modifications, financial arrangements, flexible plans, etc.);
  • Provide support in developing new tools to improve departmental performance and processes;
  • Perform any other related duties or responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, finance, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in group insurance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and PowerPoint (visual presentations);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Fluency in French, both spoken and written;
  • Very good command of English both spoken and written (bilingualism is required because the administrative transactions to be processed are distributed in both languages and require detailed analysis and in-depth understanding of contractual administrative information for error-free enrolments and insurance changes);
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, integrity, and honesty;
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of information;
  • Professionalism, resourcefulness, and autonomy.
