Your mandate will consist of working closely with group insurance advisors and providing support to the Assistant Director. In this role, you will be responsible for managing renewals and preparing proposals for groups with more than 25 employees. Review renewal proposals from insurers;
Prepare preliminary (for negotiation) and final (based on the negotiation and any options) renewal reports for the advisor;
Process the required transaction in the system to confirm the renewal;
Notify the insurer of acceptance and confirm the terms.
Process bid requests and send specifications to insurers;
Answer questions and follow up on insurers’ bids;
Analyze received bids and prepare the required reports based on the advisor’s recommendation.
Prepare withholding tax and taxable benefits calculators;
Respond to requests from insurers and collaborate with other internal departments;
Complete the activity report and confirm the current commission rate for each file;
Provide support in the development of tools, methods, and reports that can help AGA improve the quality of its services;
Validate the work produced by analysts to ensure its quality and relevance, and support them in their learning as needed;
Manage emails;
Perform any other related tasks requested by supervisors.
College diploma in insurance or equivalent;
Relevant experience in managing and prioritizing cases;
At least five (5) years of relevant experience in office work and administrative duties;
Experience in group insurance is a plus;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken (Fluency in French and English is essential to ensure the analysis and understanding of contractual documents, brochures, and communications from internal and external sources, often written in either language, as well as to interact effectively with English-speaking colleagues located outside the province.);
Experience with JIRA is a plus;
