Your mandate will consist in:
Your mandate is to be primarily responsible for meeting business development and retention goals by growing the client portfolio and fostering long-term business relationships. Discover below the skills and qualifications needed to excel and thrive within the AGA team!
Your main tasks will include:
- Prospect and acquire new clients to achieve an annual production target of $200,000 in new net revenue for AGA.
- Meet regularly with clients and brokers to build and maintain strong, long-term business relationships.
- Provide strategic advice, guidance, and support to clients and brokers.
- Promote the firm’s proprietary and related products and services.
- Develop and grow the assigned book of business, including new sales and renewals, with a focus on large direct accounts (over $50,000 in annual premiums).
- Refer small and indirect files to Business Retention Advisors, as appropriate.
- Manage a portfolio of approximately $300,000 in revenue, ensuring the seamless transition of clients to Business Retention Advisors at renewal.
- Collaborate with Business Retention Advisors and present renewal terms for expiring contracts.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of information presented.
- Gather the required information to prepare files for the tender, renewal, and implementation teams.
- Participate in sales meetings.
- Provide relevant information to the immediate supervisor for follow-up and action, as required.
- Perform other duties related to the position, as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications required:
- University degree (Bachelor) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or group insurance.
- Must hold a group insurance certificate delivered by the Autorité des marchés financiers.
- Very good knowledge of social legislation.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong command of both English and French, spoken and written (Proficiency in both English and French is essential to analyze and understand contractual documents, brochures, and communications originating from internal and external sources, often written in either language. It is also required to provide telephone and email support to French speaking clients across Canada and to interact effectively with colleagues located outside the province).
- Frequent travel is required. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.

- Ability to demonstrate judgment, integrity and honesty.
- Ability to protect confidential information.
- Be professional, resourceful and able to work independently.
