Your mandate will consist in...

Your mandate will be to play a key role in the creation of dashboards and the analysis of trends. You will be primarily responsible for defining, implementing, and reviewing performance indicators, metrics, dashboards, and data schemas required to implement  AGA’s business intelligence. Your main tasks will include:

  • Collect, transform, clean, and organize data from various internal sources (management systems, customer databases, financial data, files, etc.);
  • Participate in the design, maintenance, and updating of dashboards and interactive reports using data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar tools;
  • Support change management within teams when implementing new solutions (training, documentation);
  • Perform descriptive and exploratory analyses to identify trends, relevant information, anomalies, or opportunities;
  • Collaborate with all AGA business teams (actuarial, finance, operations, marketing, etc.) to understand their needs, analyze their workflows in order to propose solutions and identify areas for improvement based on data;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management and reporting processes;
  • Document methodologies, requirements, performance indicators, metrics, dashboards, data schemas, data sources, processes, and results to ensure the traceability and reliability of analyses;
  • Generate performance management reports: define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure performance in different analytical contexts;
  • Generate ad hoc reports or data lists as needed;
  • Document and update all tasks and projects in JIRA on a daily and systematic basis to ensure clear, real-time progress tracking;
  • Understand and maintain Power Automate flows;
  • Perform any other related tasks of a similar nature that are directly related to this job or at the request of your supervisor.

Qualifications requises :

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, business intelligence, computer science/information technology/management information systems, information management, or engineering (computer engineering/information technology engineering) and/or data engineering and analytics (Master's degree is an asset);
  • Initial experience (internship, academic project, or job) in data analysis or BI is an asset;
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience.

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Power BI;
  • Proficiency in Excel, the Office suite, and basic SQL;
  • Mathematical and/or academic skills necessary to collect, measure, organize, and analyze data;
  • Ability to transform raw data into useful and understandable information;
  • Excellent command of English and French, both spoken and written (Fluency in English and French is essential in order to analyze and understand contractual documents, brochures, and communications from internal and external sources, often written in either language, as well as to interact effectively with English-speaking colleagues located outside the province);
  • Knowledge of Power Automate an asset;
  • Knowledge of Power BI Report Builder an asset;
  • Familiarity with an analytical programming language (Python or R) an asset;
  • Basic knowledge of JIRA and Confluence an asset.

  • Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly with non-technical audiences (simplifying calculations or results);
  • Discretion and respect for data confidentiality;
  • Experience in group insurance is an asset.
