Your mandate will consist in:
Your mandate will be to ensure the precise and efficient processing of health, dental and drug claims, whether digitized or submitted online via the Member Portal. Find out below about the skills and qualifications you need to excel in this position and grow with AGA!
Your main tasks will include:
- Validate documents required to process claims, cad, original receipts, dates, professionals in good standing, medical recommendations, student status, coordination, Bill 33, application of usual and customary charges, etc.;
- Enter claims payment data in SARAGA and TELUS for health, drug and dental care;
Validate eligibility of certain expenses according to insurers' procedures or internal practices; - Prepare requests for additional information according to insurers' procedures or internal practices, so that they can be forwarded to members or posted on the member portal;
- Reconsider certain claims where there has been an error or omission, using the audit system in JIRA;
- Process pending dental EDI in DECM;
- Grant a grace period if requested and if applicable following reconsideration of the claim;
- Reissue a claim with incorrect banking information (settlement box);
- Communicate with external parties to obtain additional information to process claims (clinics, dentists, professionals, pharmacies, etc.);
- Act as clerk's replacement during absences or vacations;
- Perform any other related duties at the supervisor’s request.
Required qualifications:
- College diploma or DEP;
- Minimum 2 years of experience;
- Knowledge of group insurance, medical, pharmaceutical and dental fields is a valuable asset;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and French (bilingualism is required because the administrative transactions to be processed are distributed in both languages and require detailed analysis and in-depth understanding of contractual administrative information for error-free enrolments and insurance changes);
- Attention to detail and meticulousness;
- Judgment, integrity and honesty;
- Ability to protect confidential information;
- Versatility, resourcefulness and autonomy;
- Respect for deadlines;
- Excellent sense of priorities.
