AGA Strengthens Its Leadership: Marilou St-Hilaire Joins the Team and Jhonny Dandoy Takes on a New Role

AGA Benefit Solutions is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Vice President, as well as the creation of a position aimed at accelerating the company’s growth. These appointments will take effect on October 1, 2026.

Marilou St-Hilaire, Vice President, Consulting and Actuarial Services

AGA is pleased to announce the appointment of Marilou St-Hilaire as Vice President, Consulting and Actuarial Services. Based in our Montreal office, she will play a key role in the evolution of the organization’s consulting services. Marilou will lead a team of actuarial and group benefits professionals with the objective of continuing to deliver an outstanding experience to plan sponsors who trust AGA with their employee benefits programs.

Marilou St-Hilaire has more than 20 years of experience in the group benefits industry, including serving as a Vice President with an international consulting firm. This appointment also marks a return to AGA for Marilou, following a notable tenure with the organization in 2019-2020. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Université Laval and is a Fellow of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and the Society of Actuaries (FSA). She will report to Martin Bédard, Vice President, Consulting and Client Service.

Marilou’s career accomplishments, deep knowledge of the market, and ability to build trusted client relationships are valuable strengths that will support our ambitions and commitment to service excellence.

Jhonny Dandoy, Vice President, Consulting and Business Development

Our growth strategy is built on targeted acquisitions as well as strong organic growth. To support this objective, we must continue to accelerate our client acquisition and retention initiatives. With this in mind, Jhonny Dandoy will assume the role of Vice President, Consulting and Business Development. This new strategic position builds on the efforts and results he has delivered since joining AGA in 2023 as Vice President, Consulting.

In this role, Jhonny will work closely with teams across the organization to support client development and expand AGA’s presence in the marketplace. He will continue to report directly to me.

A graduate in Actuarial Science from the Université de Montréal and an Associate of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (ACIA) and the Society of Actuaries (ASA), Jhonny brings more than 20 years of experience in employee benefits consulting, including close to 17 years with a leading international actuarial consulting firm. Throughout his career, he has contributed extensively to business development while also serving as a manager, mentor, and member of a local leadership team.

Martin Papillon, FSA, FCIA, MBA
Martin Papillon is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and holds an MBA from HEC Montréal. Throughout his career, he has been working in the group insurance and retirement sector. Before joining AGA in 2013, he held advisory and senior management positions with world-class consulting actuarial firms.
