Aga Supports the Nutcracker Fund, Because Every Child Deserves to Dream
AGA Benefit Solutions is committed to actively supporting the well-being of our community, and we are thrilled to continue to do so as a financial partner of the Les Grands Ballets Nutcracker Fund for the 2025-2026 season. AGA has decided to support this program as it aligns well with the key objectives of our social engagement policy, namely children’s health and education. The Nutcracker Fund promotes inclusiveness and accessibility to art by enabling 2,800 children in vulnerable situations to attend a free performance of The Nutcracker each year, in addition to offering them introductory workshops in art and dance. By becoming one of the Fund’s donors as a member of the Mice Circle, AGA will give a new group of children from Ludger-Duvernay school, in Montréal’s Sud-Ouest district—close to AGA’s Canadian head office—the opportunity to take part in the annual program’s activities.
“Every year, The Nutcracker dazzles the young and old alike with a magical show, thanks to the exceptional talent of Les Grands Ballets. We’re delighted to contribute to its discovery through a program that combines art and learning, thereby fostering the social development of these children in a playful context,” said Martin Papillon, President and Chief Executive Officer of AGA Benefit Solutions.
“A hall packed with nearly 3,000 children is magnificent. When I see the wonder in their eyes, I tell myself that this is the essence of humanity. It gives me hope. Everyone has a role to play. Art is the soul of a society. Every child should have access to it. Dance, with its universal language, is a powerful way to bring them there," says Maude Sabourin, principal dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens.
AGA’s social engagement policy is in line with AGA’s values of Stronger Together, Innovate to Lead and Lift Others Up—principles that guide every decision we make, including our presence in the communities where our employees and clients work and live. As part of this policy, every year we award scholarships to students from Laurier University, Conestoga College, HEC Montréal and Université Laval, as well as partner with organizations such as Forces Avenir, the Dr. Clown Foundation and the Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ.
