Martin Papillon is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and holds an MBA from HEC Montréal. Throughout his career, he has been working in the group insurance and retirement sector. Before joining AGA in 2013, he held advisory and senior management positions with world-class consulting actuarial firms.
Nathalie Laporte has spent most of her career in employee benefits, including 15 years with Desjardins Insurance as Vice-President, Development, Marketing and Strategy for groups and businesses. During the past four years, she worked in pharma at Pfizer Canada as Senior Manager responsible for client relations and partnerships with private insurers. She was also a Board Member of the Quebec Drug Insurance Pooling Corporation (QDIPC) and the Canadian Drug Insurance Pooling Corporation (CDIPC). Nathalie holds a Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science from Université Laval and a Master’s Degree in Finance from HEC Montréal, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
Martin Bédard holds a Bachelor Degree from Université Laval, where he was captain of the Rouge et Or football team when they won their first Vanier Cup, and an Executive MBA from Queen’s University. He has close to 20 years of experience in group insurance on the insurer side. With his background as a senior manager responsible both for business development and for strategic planning, product development and client experience, he is keen on doing more for each client as part of the Quebec City office team.
In various senior leadership roles, Ed Hofstede has reshaped companies through focus on a differentiated customer experience for plan sponsors and their employees. Embracing technology, Ed aims to deliver not only best-in-class benefit solutions, but healthy, engaged, loyal, and productive employees for our clients.
Ed is a passionate and active advocate for workplace and youth mental health initiatives.
Ed holds an Honours degree in Business from Wilfrid Laurier University and is an active member of CALU and TPAAC.
Massimo Nini is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) and holds a Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science from Concordia University. Prior to joining AGA, he held leadership positions with firms operating in the employee benefits consulting and the accident & health reinsurance space. Over the years, he has provided actuarial, retirement and benefits consulting services to organizations of various sizes, including large pan-Canadian and international organizations. He a is member of the CIA’s Health Committee and is a licensed insurance agent in Ontario, Quebec and other provinces across Canada.
Alain Rivard has been working in group insurance since 1997. He held roles with major insurers for 10 years prior to becoming President of WBL Benefits+Actuarial. He holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Relations. He also graduated from the École d’Entrepreneurship de Beauce.
With close to 30 years of experience in group insurance, both on the third-party payer/administrator and insurers' sides, Isabelle Gauvin is certainly considered an expert in her field. Attentive to the needs of our employees and committed to providing them with a healthy and motivating environment, Isabelle leads the administration, claims and customer service operations, while seeking to ensure the best client experience to all our members and administrators, in cooperation with her teams.
Todd Rappitt has been working in group insurance since 1996, providing innovative solutions and outsourcing of benefit programs for a variety of clients. Todd has extensive experience working with Multi-Employer Trusts, ELHTs, Casual Workforces, and Flexible Benefit Plans. His undergraduate studies were completed at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he received his Honors Bachelor of Business Administration. He currently is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), holds his Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) and Master of Trust Management Standards (MTMS)
