High-level management


Martin Papillon  President and Chief executive officer

Martin Papillon is Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and holds an MBA from HEC Montréal. He has worked in the insurance and group annuities sector for many years and directed, among other missions, Aon Hewitt’s national group insurance practice.


Chantal Dufresne  Vice president, Finance and Operations

Chantal Dufresne, a Certified Professional Accountant, also has a background in taxation and small or medium-sized business management. She has held management positions in many firms, including PricewaterhouseCoopers. She brings to AGA her skills and technical knowledge in financial accounting, management and administration.


Gabriel Gagnon Vice president, Corporate strategy

Gabriel Gagnon is well known in the insurance field, having worked for many years in credit insurance and replacement warranties distribution for the automobile sector. In particular, he served as President of Protection VAG, a company he later sold to Industrial Alliance.

Manon LabrècheVice president, Private management

Ms. Labrèche joined AGA in 1979. Over the years, she has risen through the ranks and now runs a team of nearly 30 people who handle all administrative services and claims. Her comprehensive plan management experience makes her a vital member of the AGA team.

Joanne Laroche

Joanne LarocheAccount Manager

Having been with AGA since 1984, Ms. Laroche boasts some 20 years of experience in sales and currently heads up the Montreal sales team. She provides guidance, technical support, and broker training to ensure the optimal development of the group insurance sector. She also seeks out brokerage firms in hopes of negotiating new agreements.


Denis RousseauDirector, Business Partners and Strategic Advice

With over 25 years of experience and a love for crunching numbers, Mr. Rousseau conducts in-depth analyses of insurance plan experience in order to secure the best rates from insurance providers when registering for or renewing a plan. He is also responsible for approving rates for AGA’s self-insurance plans and acts as an advisor for high level management.

Vincent SoucyDirector, Consulting and underwriting 

Holding a Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science and a fellowship with the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, Vincent Soucy worked for the first 11 years of his career in an actuarial consultant firm where he rose to become a Senior Advisor. In addition of a strong expertise in group insurance, Vincent offers to his clients a global vision of employee benefits with sound knowledge of pension plan, investment and workers compensation (CSST). He joined AGA Benefit Solutions in March 2014. Since, he manages the consulting, underwriting and service teams in addition to supporting major clients.


Louise GagnéDirector, Actuaries and training

Louise Gagné started her career at Blue Cross before working as senior advisor for a large actuary firm for more than 15 years. Fellow of the Canadian Actuary Institute, Louise joined AGA Benefit Solutions in June 2014. She assumes responsibility for training, provides technical support, and supplies advisory activities for the large business clientele. Louise is also lecturer at l’UQAM.
