Your mandate will consist in:

Your main tasks will include:

  • Prospect and recruit new clients with an annual production target of $200,000 in new net income for AGA;
  • Meet clients and some brokers on a regular basis to develop lasting business relationships;
  • Advise and support clients and/or brokers;
  • Promote our firm’s proprietary and related products;
  • Develop his/her line of business (new sales and renewals) with a special focus on large direct files (over $50,000 in annual premiums);
  • Refer small and indirect files to the Business Retention Advisors, as applicable;
  • Maintain a portfolio with approximately $300,000 in income, ensure the smooth transfer of clients to Business Retention Advisors upon renewals;
  • Cooperate with the Business Retention Advisors, present renewals for maturing contracts;
  • Ensure the accuracy of the information presented;
  • Collect the information required to develop his/her file for the tender/renewal/implementation team;
  • Attend sales meetings;
  • Forward any relevant information to his/her immediate supervisor for follow-up;
  • Perform any other duties as requested by his/her immediate supervisor. 

Qualifications required:

  • University degree (Bachelor) or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in sales and group insurance;  
  • Must hold a group insurance certificate delivered by the Autorité des marchés financiers;
  • Very good knowledge of benefits legislation;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English and French;  
  • Have a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle, as frequent travel is required;
  • Good interpersonal skills; 
  • Ability to demonstrate judgment, integrity and honesty;
  • Ability to protect confidential information; 
  • Professionalism, resourcefulness and ability to work independently.
